IBIA Annual Convention Early Bird Reminder

28 June 2005

The organisers of the event remind us as follows:

The IBIA Annual Convention in Hong Kong (20-22 September) is now less than three months away. The organisers are expecting in excess of 150 delegates in Hong Kong and, after last year's huge success in South America, anticipate another fabulous event in Asia.

The event will include three 'world first presentations' - the initial results of an important Sulphur Emissions Abatement and Trading (SEAaT) pilot project; a detailed analysis of the data accumulated since the ratification of MARPOL Annex VI; and the surprising findings of a multi-client study on the sudden and significant changes in availability and demand for bunker fuel, of various sulphur contents, following the implementation of Annex VI. Emissions, pollution, sampling and wide-ranging new bunker-related legislation will feature heavily in the Convention, where serious discussion and debate will ensure that the issues are covered professionally and in great depth. If your job involves bunker fuel in any way, then you should seriously consider signing up for this event.
